I do not do well without a goal. Anyone else like that?
Something that I can set my eyes on and commit to. It’s what keeps the long-term motivation going. I need to know that I am working towards something. An accomplishment! Something that I can be proud of! And races…that is a whole different kind of accomplishment sprinkled with a little runner’s high after crossing each finish line. You know exactly what I am talking about. That runner’s high from a race run well that makes you wear your medal into Wendy’s with your friends dying for your post-run meal. The kind that makes you want to wear the jacket from the race non-stop for a week (even while you sleep) even as you go to pick-up your husband in this stellar dress after he’s been gone for 2 months with the said jacket still on. Please tell me I’m not alone in this LOL!
That is the kind of goal I am talking about!
